After You Call
Most of the garage doors we get called on sit in homes built between 1968 and 2005, with a lot of that stock going up around the mid-1970s. That matters because doors from that era were built to different standards than what's sold today - thinner panel gauge, older spring sizing, hardware that doesn't always match what's on the shelf at the box store.
When you call, we ask what year the house was built and whether the door has been touched since. That one detail usually tells us more than a description of the noise it's making.
We work on torsion and extension springs, openers, tracks, rollers, cables, and panel sections. We don't do custom architectural doors or anything outside standard residential garage door work - if that's what you need, we'll tell you up front rather than take the job and figure it out later.
South Florida's mild temperate climate means we're not fighting the frozen lubricant and cracked seals that colder-region techs deal with all winter. What we do see is corrosion on hardware in homes closer to the coast, and openers that have simply aged out after decades of daily use in the heat and humidity. Both are common enough here that we carry the parts for them on the truck most days - though not every part for every job, every time.

When you call, have the basics ready: the door's approximate age, what it's doing (or not doing), and whether it's a single or double door. If you know your neighborhood was part of the older 1960s-70s development that makes up a lot of the area's housing, mention that too - it changes what we expect to find when we get there.
We don't publish flat-rate pricing over the phone before we've seen the door, because a broken cable and a burnt-out opener board look the same from a homeowner's description but aren't the same job. What we will tell you honestly is whether something sounds like a quick fix or something that's going to need a return trip for parts.
Where We Travel
Our home base is Boca Raton, and most of our calls stay close: Deerfield Beach is about 4 miles up, Lighthouse Point and Hillsboro Beach around 7, and Coconut Creek about 8. Golf sits roughly 9 miles out and Parkland about 10.
We also take calls further into the service area - Margate at 11 miles, Ocean Ridge and Lauderdale-by-the-Sea both around 12, North Lauderdale at 13, and out to Oakland Park, Manalapan, Lantana, Wilton Manors, Tamarac, and Lauderdale Lakes in the 14-15 mile range. Beyond that we still cover Atlantis, Lauderhill, Lake Worth Beach, Washington Park, Greenacres, and Palm Springs, though at 16 to 18 miles out, scheduling can mean a slightly longer window than a same-day Boca Raton call.
Across this whole stretch, the housing tends to run the same age bracket - plenty of 1960s and 70s construction alongside newer builds - so the hardware questions and parts we need are fairly consistent town to town.
